Love FULLY – Change Lives – Through Christ

St. John’s United Methodist Church in Seaford is one church in two locations; the main campus in the heart of Seaford and St. John’s Chapel, another campus opened at Cannon in July 2014, which is located in a rural setting between Seaford and Bridgeville.
We are a faith community that values authentic relationships with Jesus, one another, the community in Seaford and the entire world.
We are a faith community that values Spirit-filled worship and a lifestyle of service and mission.
We are a faith community that values a life-long experience of growth and transformation as disciples of Jesus.

I am a daily yoga practitioner along with the exercise of squats and planks. I love to travel with my family and spend time with our first grandchild Luke.  I have been married to Jung Moon Kim for 36 years and we have two sons—Paul and David. Paul is married to Grace and they have a 3-year-old son Luke, and David is married to Patricia from Spain.

Barbara Wilson

Rev. Barbara Wilson

Associate Pastor

I am Barbara Wilson, the Associate Pastor of St. John’s. During the past seven years it has been my joyful privilege to teach, preach, assist in planning community outreach, and maintaining contact with the hospitalized and homebound.

As a minister I always work to encourage oneness in the church body. When serious effort, mutual support, and continual submission to God’s will become the Spiritual purpose of God’s people, I believe that God is reflected to the world.

I am the lay minister of St. John’s Chapel in Cannon.  I am a Sussex County native and have served in a variety of churches and denominations across the Delmarva Peninsula.  I believe in Christians working together sharing the love of Christ in relationship with Jesus, one another, and the community.  I also serve in the ministries of Unified Seaford and Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC) of Mid-Delmarva.

Rae Murphy

Rae Murphy

Preschool Director

Rae and her husband, Mike, live in Mardela Springs, MD and are raising three sons.  She enjoys traveling with her family, going to the beach, photography and time with her Great Danes.

Through her service at St. John’s, Rae hopes to reach families where they are in their personal relationships with Christ.  It is her hope that the children in her care, and their parents, leave St. John’s with a stronger, closer relationship with God, bridged by the love and care their family receives through the preschool program.
