Linda recently retired from full time pastoral ministry, although she continues to serve the church. Linda is a passionate, unapologetic supporter of the church, but that hasn’t always been the case. She grew up going to church, but left as a teenager. She didn’t return until more than 15 years later after she met her husband, Barry. It was his influence and example that led her back. Even so, years went by as she sat in the pew and watched. But one day, God grabbed hold of her, and her life has never been the same. She has been on an exciting and transformational journey with God ever since!
In her spare time, Linda loves to be outside. She sees God’s hand everywhere in the beauty and majesty of the great outdoors. She loves to grow things: flowers, vegetables, you name it! She enjoys running and hiking, kayaking and boating on the local waterways, and riding her bicycle on the rural backroads near her home. She also loves to travel with her husband and experience new places with him.
Linda served as Lead Pastor at Bethesda United Methodist Church in Preston, MD, from 2016 until her retirement in 2021. Prior to that, she served for five years as the Associate Pastor at Christ UMC in Salisbury, MD, where she developed and led a thriving church-wide small group ministry in which over 80 percent of the adult congregation participated.
Linda holds a Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis in Church Renewal from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. She lives with her husband in Seaford, Delaware. She plans to do more writing now that she has more time.
